Many child welfare organizations recognize the benefits and have an authentic desire to engage people with firsthand experience in the foster care system. But often, they don’t know where to start or how to know if they are doing this critical work well. This interactive training is led by young adults, parents, and kinship caregivers with lived experience (LEx) and models LEx/Ally partnership. Participants receive practical tools and strategies that will set them on a path to effective engagement with the youth and families they serve.
