(He/They)Indiana - 4 years of experience in foster care
Mars began his advocacy journey with a passion for supporting trans youth and amplifying voices often left out of major decisions. Having spent four years in foster care, they used their lived experience as motivation to push for change and empowerment within systems that can feel silencing. Mars is completing a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Industry Studies with a minor in Studio Arts at Ball State University, where he's been involved in the Guardian Scholars Program, Black Student Association, and served on the student council board for the School of Art. Mars is the proud recipient of the 2025 IYAB Outstanding Youth Advocate Award, a recognition of his commitment to uplifting marginalized voices and shaping more inclusive futures.
