The Kresge Foundation recently highlighted a great story about Rynn Bell, a Colorado mother who has gone from being served by the system to influencing it. From sitting in waiting rooms to sharing her expertise with audiences on a national stage, Rynn Bell uses her own life experiences to help human services agencies around the country learn how they can truly engage families and reshape how they provide services. “I wasn’t being listened to, and I wasn’t being treated with dignity and respect,” Rynn said. “I felt like I was the problem.”
