Family Voices United is a collaborative project among Casey Family Programs, Children's Trust Fund Alliance, FosterClub and Generations United.

About our Partners

Family Voices United is a collaborative project. We work closely with partners in multiple states and jurisdictions to elevate the voices and perspectives of young people, parents and kinship providers.

Casey Family Programs is the nations largest operating foundation focused on safely reducing the need for foster care and building Communities of Hope for children and families across America. Founded in 1966, they work in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and two territories and with more than a dozen tribal nations to influence long-lasting improvements to the safety and success of children, families and the communiites where they live.

One of the primary focuses of the work of the Alliance is to promote and elevate the voices of parents whose life experience and expertise provides critical knowledge and perspectives to help inform policy and practice in all areas related to children and their families.

FosterClub is the national network of young peopel in foster care. Their mission is to lead the efforts of young people in and from foster care to become connected, educated, inspired and represented so they can realize their personal potential and contribute to better outcomes for their peers.

Generations United's National Center on Grandfamilies is a leading voice for families headed by grandparents, relatives and close family friends. The the Center, Generations United leads an advisory group of organizations, caregivers and youth that sets the national agenda to advance public will in support of families.

Nearly half a million children are in foster care.

After years of decline, the number of children in foster care has

risen steadily since 2012, with anecdotal evidence and expert

opinion linking this increase to the parallel rise in opioid

addiction and overdoses.

By elevating the voices of constituents, we seek to:

Ensure key child welfare stakeholders understand the experiences and needs of families at risk or involved with child welfare.

Identify supports families need to remain safely together and prevent maltreatment and unnecessary foster care entry.

Identify policy barriers preventing families at risk of child welfare involvement from getting the services they need.

We'd Love to Hear from You.
